Need a snuggly cowl for a gift or for yourself? My Coosaw Cowl is a fun knit that only needs a few special techniques. Knit in the round, this project can be either long or short, and features unique textures patterns.
When, Where and How Much: Tuesday, May 14 from 4-6 pm, Wild and Wooly, 1212 Chuck Dawley Blvd, Mt. Pleasant. Class fee is $40 and includes a copy of the Coosaw Cowl pattern.
What you need to know: The basics: How to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.
What you'll learn: Long stitch technique, knitting in the round, techniques for loose bind offs and eye-catching cast ons
MATERIALS: (Save 10% on class materials upon registration!)
*US Size 8 (5 mm), 32” circular needles
Suggested yarns (you’ll need 200-400 yards):
*Amano Puna Sport (80% Alpaca, 20% silk, 218 yards/50 gram)
*Amano Ayni DK (100% Camelid/Alpaca, 273 yards/100 gram)
*Rowan Cotton Cashmere DK (85% cotton, 15% Cashmere goat, 137 yards/50 gram)
*Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Long: Approximately 8 inches wide x 58 inches long
Short: Approximately 8 inches wide x 29 inches long
Approximately 15 stitches = 4 inches in stockinette stitch knit in the round.
