As part of my series on mastering the Brioche stitch, join us as we learn the basics: knitting Brioche in one color, knit flat. It makes an amazing scarf! It's a fun technique that gives a look of ribbing without any purling.
You'll need: 460 yards of fingering weight yarn (I used KnitPicks Capretta in Thicket [80% Fine Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon]), US Size 5 (3.75mm) needles.
You'll need to know: How to cast on, knit, and bind off.
Saturday, May 20 from 2-4 pm at the cafe in Barnes and Noble, 7620 Rivers Ave.
Class is $25 per person, ages 12 and up.
Please RSVP by May 18 at knitoasis at gmail dot com, on the FB events page (be sure to click "Going").
