Come learn how to knit THE Scarf of Charleston--the Charleston Indigo Scarf! A little lace, a little twisting of stitches and a whole lot of fun! This scarf looks amazing in any color but blue brings out the indigo roots of this gorgeous pattern.

To knit the scarf you will need US size 8 needles and 550 yds of worsted weight yarn. The gauge you are looking to achieve is 18 stitches = 4 inches in twist stitch pattern (which you will learn in the class).

Bring: US size 8 needles, 500 yards worsted weight yarn, stitch markers (about 6), a row counter, and a measuring tape. 

When, Where and How Much: Sat, Jan 12, 1-3pm, Barnes and Noble, Rivers Ave, North Charleston, $40/person, ages 12 and up.

What you need to know: The basics of knitting; how to cast on, bind off, knit and purl.

What you will learn: Drop stitch, twisted stitch patterns, simple lace, and more!
