As part of my series on mastering the Brioche stitch, join us as we learn the basics: knitting Brioche in one color, knit flat. It makes an amazing scarf! It's a fun technique that gives a look of ribbing without any purling. And you will need to learn this technique before we tackle the increasingly more complex Brioche patterns (Class 2 is one color Brioche knit in the round and Class 3 is 2-color Brioche, knit flat and in the round.)

For Brioche 1: you'll need: 400 yards of fingering weight yarn (light or bright color so you can see your stitches!) US Size 5 (3.75mm) needles.

You'll need to know: How to cast on, knit, and bind off.

Class length: 2 hours each, Class fee: $90/person, ages 12 and up. Price includes parts 2 and 3, March 28 and April 18

Class location: Wild and Wooly, 1212 Chuck Dawley, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 843-881-5588
