Finishing for Knitters

Come learn finishing techniques such as special bind offs, seaming, and more!

Monday, September 16, 3-5pm
Cost: $45

The HOMEWORK:
You will need some swatches, all still on the needles.
Swatch #1: (make 1)
Needles: Size 7 or 8 straight
Yarn: Worsted or DK weight, any color or fiber
Cast on: 40 stitches
Row 1: Knit 30, (p2, k2) for last 10 sts
Row 2: (k2, p2) for 10 sts, Purl 30.
Repeat these two rows for a total of 6 rows. Leave on the needle!
Swatch #2: (make 4)
Needles: size 7 or 8 double pointed needles
Yarn: Same as for Swatch #1
Cast on: 15 stitches
Work 6 rows stockinette stitch
Do not bind off. Cut yarn, leaving an 18-inch tail.

Make 4 of this swatch and leave sts on needles! We will use 2 each for 2 different types of finishes.
