SAFF

Come see me at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair in North Carolina, where I'll be helping out my friend Pat Lorenz in her booth!  I will have a limited number of Charleston Indigo Scarf kits available for sale at the show. Each kit will include 500 yards of 100% cotton yarn, worsted weight, lovingly hand-dyed with natural indigo, and the pattern for the scarf.  The pattern is for advanced beginner knitters and up, and includes drop stitch, twisted stitch patterns and simple lace.

NEW!! I have just added another kit which also features my hand-dyed indigo yarn! The Indigo To-Go Accessory Bag Kit will include yarn, instructions, hand-dyed indigo fabric for lining, and a zipper--everything you need to make a cute indigo bag to hold cosmetics, knitting tools, etc.

Be sure to come SEE ME at SAFF before they're all gone!  (Booth #72 in the McGough Arena.)

Indigo Dyeing Workshop

Join me Saturday, October 4 from 10 am till noon at The Charleston Museum for another exciting Indigo Dyeing Workshop!

Indigo was one of the early cash crops in the Charleston area, successfully cultivated first by Eliza Lucas Pinckney on her father's rice plantation here.  She was so good at growing high-quality indigo that it eventually became the second most lucrative crop for South Carolina (rice was still number 1, but you can't turn things blue with it...).

Past participants in the indigo workshops have dyed a multitude of items, a multitude of blues.  It's fun, hands-on, educational, and, as I said, exciting!

Registration is now open!   Space is limited, so register today: Indigo Workshop
